June 19, 2019 – Last night the Children’s Creativity Museum played host to over 100 people who came out to support the educators who support our youngest children. First 5 San Francisco along with Supervisor Norman Yee and the Office of Early Care and Education celebrated Excellence in Teaching to raise the attention given to teachers in the field of Early Childhood Education. The evening was made special by the enthusiasm and love felt throughout the room. The 6th annual awards celebration recognize and rewards excellence in teaching across the city and county. Each year the award honors teachers who have made outstanding contributions to the classroom and partnered with families to promote child well-being. These awards provide all of us an opportunity to reflect on the importance of high-quality ECE, and in particular the contributions that recipients of the award have made to our children’s health, learning, and growth.
